Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition and construction of a New Bus Garage in the Ripley Central School District, SED Project No. 06-24-01-04-5-009-001, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of 4 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 5,500 square feet of new construction. The project is located on Ross Street in the Town of Ripley.

The action involves the purchase of an adjacent 80 foot by 18 foot parcel of land and 30,000 square feet of new additions. The project is located at 12 North State Street in the Town of Ripley. No unmitigated adverse environmental effects are revealed.

Recision of Positive Declaration and Issuance Negative Declaration

Erie County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition and additions/alterations to the Alden Primary School at Townline in the Alden Central School District, SED Project No. 14-01-01-06-0-008-008, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of 1.24 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 6,050 square feet of new additions. The project is located at 11197 Broadway in the Village of Alden. No unmitigated adverse environmental effects are revealed.

Positive Declaration

Niagara County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed new construction of a Bus Storage Building for the Newfane Central School District, SED Project No. 40-06-01-06-5-009-001, may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves 2,400 square feet of new construction on existing property. The project is located at 6273 Charlotteville Road in the Town of Newfane.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Erie County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of a Master Plan for Darwin D. Martin House Complex. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on June 21, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Children's Resources Center, Charles R. Drew Science Magnet School (located on the Buffalo Zoo campus), 300 Parkside Avenue, Buffalo, NY. Written comments on the Draft Eis will be accepted until 7/12/00. The action involves adoption and implementation of a master plan for the restoration of the Darwin D. Martin House complex and establishment of the Darwin D. Martin House State Historic Site upon completion of restoration. The primary purpose of the proposed plan is to restore the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Darwin D. Martin and George Barton Houses and reconstruct certain previously demolished elements of the original complex. The project is located Jewett Parkway and Summit Avenue, Buffalo, NY.
