THE WORK IS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELMIRA ARTERIAL -SO. SECTION. THE PROJECT IS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE DEC ELMIRA FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT AND WILL ALSO REQUIRE A PROJECT SPECIFIC PERMIT FROM THE DEC FLOOD CONTROL PROGRAM. CHANNEL WORK WILL RE-ALIGN A SECTION OF SEELEY CREEK TO ALLOW FOR THE ARTERIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY TO BE CONSTRUCTED. RESTORATION AND BIOENGINEERING PLANS WILL RESTORE HABITAT AND STABILIZE THE STREAM BANKS. THE PROJECT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW AT THE DOT REGION 6 OFFICE IN HORNELL, NY AND AT THE NYSDEC REGION 8 OFFICE IN AVON.

Project Description:
 The Department has received an application and prepared a draft Air Pollution Control Permit for a project to establish Emission Unit (EU) U00083 at Eastman Kodak Company's Kodak Park Facility located within the City of Rochester and the Town of Greece in Monroe County. EU U00083 includes most of the emissions sources associated with the re-location of operations from Kodak's Elmgrove Plant facility to Buildings 23,81,82,205, 214, 601, and 642 at Kodak's Kodak Park facility. The project also includes the construction of two new plastic pellet silos and a new paint spray booth. The draft permit includes permit conditions have been included that limit Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions to 36.3 TPY and that limit the Particulate emissions to 14.9 TPY, which will effectively cap the entire source project to below the applicability thresholds for state 6 NYCRR Part 231-2 and federal 40 CFR 52.21, Subpart A- Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) New Source Review regulations. The application and Draft Permit are available for review at the Region 8 Office of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

 THE TOWN OF ARCADIA HAS SUBMITTED A WATER SUPPLY APPLICATION AND FRESH WATER WETLAND APPLICATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING A 12 INCH WATER LINE ALONG ROUTE 88 NORTH FROM THE VILLAGE OF NEWARK TO THE HAMLET OF FAIRVILLE. THE 24,500 LINEAL FEET OF WATER LINE WILL DELIVER UP TO 22,000 GALLONS OF WATER PER DAY FROM THE VILLAGE OF NEWARKS CANANDAIUA LAKE SOURCE OF SUPPLY. THIS USE OF WATER BY THE TOWN WILL NOT CAUSE THE VILLAGE OF NEWARK TO EXCEED ITS AUTHORIZED ALLOCATION OF CANANDAIGUA LAKE WATER.

Project Description:
 The NYS DEC, as lead agency, has accepted a DEIS on the Thomas Cassel/ Lake Bluff Property Owners application for an Article 15 & 34 Permit and a Section 401 Water Quality Certification to install an armor stone revetment of approximately 725 lineal feet to stabilize the slope of, and minimize wave erosion damage to, their bluff properties at the area commonly known as Lake Bluff, Town of Huron, Wayne County. To facilitate construction, the proposal also includes the improvement of an existing access road to the shoreline, the construction of a truck turn-around area, and the construction of an approximate 260 lineal feet access road along the shoreline. Approximately 125 lineal feet of the westmost portion of the armor stone revetment will be located onshore, and the remaining eastward 600 +/- lineal feet will be located a maximum of 20 feet offshore. The proposed offshore placement is engineered to allow the bluff to fall in behind the revetment and stabilize the bluff at a 1.5:1 angle of repose. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the NYS DEC Regional Headquarters.

Project Location: Walworth
Project Description:
 The Town of Walworth proposes to extend the water supply and distribution system of the Walworth Water District #1 into its extensions 19 and 20 to take for use therein a supply of water estimated to average 15,400 and 9,000 gallons per day from the Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority's sources. The project includes the installation of 40,050 LF of 8-inch water main and appurtenances to serve 114 existing residences and 4800 feet of 8-inch water main and appurtenances to serve 27 residences along Smith Hill, Arbor, Daansen, Lewis, Lincoln, Swadling, County Line and Jacobs Roads in the Town of Walworth. In addition, surplus water can be served to residences in the Town of Marion on Arbor Road; a new Town of Marion Water District will be created to include these residences. An Article 24, Freshwater Wetlands Permit will be required for this project. The draft permits are available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 Office.
