Negative Declaration

Genesee County - The State Education Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed LeRoy Central School District Junior Senior High School and Bus Garage/Fuel Facility, SED Project Nos. 18-10-01-06-0-017-001, 18-10-01-06-5-018-001, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves new construction to the Junior Senior High School (7-12) and construction of a bus garage/fuel facility. The project is located at South Street Road, LeRoy, New York.

Orleans County - The Village of Albion Village Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Archer Lumber/Boater Services, HUD Canal Corridor Initiative, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves expansion of the current retail facility at 355 West Bank Street in order to provide services to boaters and other canal users. An addition will be constructed on the canal side of the existing retail building, and a four-foot-wide wooden dock approximately 150 feet in length would be added along the canal. The project is located at 355 West Bank Street, Village of Albion.

Orleans County - The Village of Albion Village Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Central Business District Improvements, HUD Canal Corridor Initiative, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves improvements to street furnishings in the central business district of the Village of Albion. The project is located on North Main Street, East Bank Street and West Bank Street, Village of Albion, New York.

Seneca County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed acquisition of land and construction of a new Bus Garage and Salt Barn for the Waterloo Central School District, SED Project No. 56-10-06-06-5-017-001, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition of 22.8 acres of land and 31,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located at the intersection of Route 96 and Swift Street in the Town of Waterloo.

Positive Declaration and Acceptance of Draft EIS

Ontario County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a New Elementary School in the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District, SED Project No. 43-13-01-06-0-014-001, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement has been prepared. Written comments will be accepted until June 12, 2000. The action involves approximately 120,000 square feet of new construction on existing property. The project is located at 1490 Route 488 in the Town of Phelps.

Steuben County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition and alterations to the Main Building in the Avoca Central School District, SED Project No.57-02-01-04-0-002-006, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement has been prepared. Written comments will be accepted until June 9, 2000. The action involves the purchase of 1/3 acre of land adjacent to existing property. The project is located on Oliver Street in the Village of Avoca.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Yates County - The Yates County Legislature, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Yates County Court and Office Expansion and Renovation Project. The action is the County proposal to develop a new County Courthouse, County Office Building additions, new Building and Grounds building and parking for approximately 155 vehicles. The development will include the current 2.6 acre County Campus along with six adjacent parcels, bringing the total development to about 5.3 acres. All existing structures on the six other parcels will be removed, as will portions of the current County Campus buildings. The project is located at 110 Court Street, Village of Penn Yan, Yates County, New York. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 25, 2000, at 7:00 p.m., at County Office Building Auditorium, 110 Court Street, Penn Yan, New York 14527. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until June 5, 2000 by the contact person.
