Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a new Bus Garage in the Brocton Central School District, SED Project No. 06-23-01-04-5-005-001, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves 14,700 square feet of new construction on existing property. The project is located at School Street in the Village of Brocton, Town of Portland.

The action involves 59,900 square feet of new additions on existing property. The project is located at 138 West Main Street in the Village of Brocton, Town of Portland.

Erie County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed additions and alterations to the Main Building in the Akron Central School District, SED Project No.14-21-01-04-0-001-005, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves 71,725 square feet of new additions on existing property. The project is located at 47 Bloomingdale Avenue in the Town of Akron.

Niagara County - The Town of Lockport Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Home Depot Plaza Buildout may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves addition of three retail buildings and one restaurant to the Home Depot site. The project is located at Home Depot Plaza, Transit Road, Town of Lockport, New York.

Chautauqua County - The Town of Hanover, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Town of Hanover Comprehensive Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement has been prepared. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on 6/12/2000 at 7:45 p.m., at the Town Hall, 68 Hanover Street, Silver Creek, New York. Written comments will be accepted until 6/26/2000. The action involves the preparation, adoption, and implementation of a comprehensive plan for the Town of Hanover. This document will provide planning information and guiding principles, goals, and objectives to direct future development in the Town of Hanover. The projects location is the entire Town of Hanover.

The action involves the preparation, adoption, and implementation of a comprehensive plan for the Town of Lewiston. This document will provide planning information and guiding principles, goals, and objectives to direct future development in the town of Lewiston. The purpose of the comprehensive plan is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for residents and their neighborhoods while exploring future opportunities through sensitively designed development giving consideration to the social and economic welfare of the town and its residents.

Acceptance of a Draft EIS

Cattaraugus County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed acquisition of land adjacent to the Junior / Senior High School in the Randolph Central School District, SED Project No. 04-30-01-04-0-001-012. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until May 30, 2000. The action involves the purchase of 1.35 acres. The project is located on Main Street in the Village of Randolph.
