Project description and location: Regulated activity involving wetlands consisting of the replacement of the two-lane bridge carrying Jerry Savarie Road Bridge over Big Brook. The bridge will be replaced in stages with one lane kept open at a time for one-way traffic while the other lane of the bridge is removed and reconstructed. The project will involve repair to the abutments and placement of rip-rap. The project site is also within the "river area" of the Indian River, a designated Recreational River in the New York State Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System.

Project description and location: New commercial sand and gravel extraction in a low intensity use land use area extracting an average of 10,000 cubic yards (15,000 cubic yards maximum) per year from a 3.1 acre site during its 10 year Life of Mine. The extraction will operate during the spring, summer and fall months, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. An average of six (30 maximum) loaded trips are projected on a daily basis.

Project description and location: Expansion of a previously approved 10 acre existing commercial sand and gravel extraction by an additional 5.1 acres during the next five years. Approximately 11,000 cubic yards of material is to be extracted annually. Material processing consisting of screening and crushing will occur on-site. The extraction will operate during spring, summer and fall months, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An average of 65 loaded truck trips will occur on a weekly basis between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Negative Declaration

Washington County - The New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Westfield Heights Senior Apartments, HTFC Project # 199990075, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves new construction of a single story residential structure with eight one-bedroom units for senior citizens on a 3/4 acre site in the Village of Fort Ann, Washington County. Site work includes grading, connection to existing water and sewer lines, installation of utilities, construction of driveways and parking areas, finish grading and landscaping. An application for federal HOME funds for a portion of costs for this project has been submitted by the applicant to the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC).
