Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town of Wappinger Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Hannaford Bros. Supermarket Site Plan, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an expansion of the Wappinger Plaza Shopping Center from a total of 105,974 square feet to 120,535 square feet, including replacement of the existing 40,000 square feet of supermarket and retail space with a larger (55,400 square foot) supermarket building, new parking and circulation layout, new lighting, signage, landscaping, drainage fire system and sanitary sewage disposal improvements, which revisions will require area variances for of the minimum rear yard setback, the total sign area, the number of lighted signs, the number of parking spaces, and maximum building coverage. The project is located on the east side of NYS Route 9 and on the north side of Myers Corners Road in the SC Shopping Center District, Town of Wappinger, New York.

Orange County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed acquisition of land and construction of a New High School in the Cornwall Central School District, SED Project No. 44-03-01-06-0-012-001, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition of approximately 50 acres of land and 198,006 square feet of new construction. The project is located on Route 94 in the Town of Cornwall.

Putnam County - The Town of Philipstown Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Nextel of New York, Inc. Collocation at Polhemus Tower, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves collocation of cellular antenna by Nextel of New York Inc. at Polhemus tower, NYS Route 9D, town of Philipstown. The project is located at NYS Route 9D approximately 750 feet north of Manitou Station Road, Town of Philipstown, New York.

Putnam County - The Town of Philipstown Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Williams Lot Line Revision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a lot line revision of Lot #33 which supports an existing singe-family dwelling. Lot #33 would be increased in size by two acres to 4.5 acres, while lot 34 would be reduced by two acres from 36.71 to 34.71 acres. The project is located at Copper Mine road, Town of Philipstown, New York.

Westchester County - The Village Board of The Village of Ossining, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Sandpiper Development, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Village seeking to enhance its commercial/retail corridor along Main Street as well as the surrounding downtown Ossining vicinity. The project is located at 149 Main Street, in the Village of Ossining, Town of Ossining, County of Westchester, also known and designated as Section 3.10, Block 23, Lots 31, 32, 33 and 34 (The "Main Street Property").

Positive Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town of Clinton Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Omnipoint Communications, Inc./Five States Tower Co., Inc Communications Facility, may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the development of a 140 foot high lattice communications tower, a 400 square foot equipment building, a 12 foot wide by 2,100 foot long access roadway, a 4,900 square foot gravel pad and an eight foot high chain link security fence on a 221.8 acre site. The project is located on Hollow Road (County Route 14) north and west of Salt Point Turnpike and the Taconic State Parkway, Town of Clinton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Westchester County - The Board of Trustees, Village of Pelham Manor, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Business and Industrial Areas Rezoning. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 22, 2000 at 8:15 p.m. in the Board of Trustees Room at Pelham Manor Village Hall, 4 Penfield Place, Pelham Manor, New York. The action involves adoption of a local law altering the permitted uses, development of regulations and procedures for development in the business and industrial zoning districts. Close of comment period is June 5, 2000 at 4:30 p.m. The project is located in the Village of Pelham Manor, Westchester County, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental EIS and Public Hearing

Orange County - The Town of Blooming Grove Planning Board, as lead agency has accepted a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Bull Mill Ridge & Country Woods Residential Subdivisions. A public hearing on the Supplemental EIS will be held May 24, 2000 at 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall of the Town of Blooming, Grove, New York. Written comments on the SEIS will be received by the Lead Agency up to ten days following the close of the public hearing. The action involves Country Woods/Bull Mill Subdivision located on Cromwell Hill Road in the Town of Blooming Grove (Section 55, Block 1, Lot 30.2) and on Bull Mill Road in the Town of Blooming Grove (Section 55, Block 1, Lot 26.22) and on Lori Lane in the Town of Chester (Section 5, Block 1 Lot 2.2), including 35 residential lots, 2 sewer treatment lots, and one annexation lot in the Town of Blooming Grove and 8 residential lots in the Town of Chester.
