The action involves an application by the Borough President of Staten Island to rezone an approximately 79 block area generally bounded by Rosedale Avenue, Huguenot Avenue, Drumgoole Road West, and Carlton Boulevard in the Arden section of Staten Island from R3-2 to R3X. An approximately 47 block area generally bounded by Arthur Kill Road, Drumgoole Road West, Carlton Boulevard, and Kenilworth Avenue is proposed to be rezoned from R3-2 to R3-1 and from R3-2/C1-1 to R3-1/C1-1 to R3-1/C1-1 (Block 5720, Lot 33 only).

New York (Queens) County - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Public School PS/IS 260/Queens, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30 day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves the SCA proposing the site selection, acquisition, acceptance of construction funding, and construction of a primary and intermediate school, serving kindergarten through eighth grades, with a capacity of up to 1,000 seats. The site is approximately 57,800 square feet (1.3 acres) in area and is currently occupied by a largely vacant retail appliance store building and a parking lot. As proposed, the school would be 4-story, C-shaped building with a courtyard in the middle facing 50th Street. The main student and bus drop-off would be along 50th Street, and students would be coming from the south and west. The building would contain approximately 138,700 gross square feet of space including administrative offices, a gymnasium and support functions on the first floor and classrooms on the upper three floors. The project is located at 50th Street between Queens Blvd and 47th Avenue, Block 2283, Lots 1, 12, 22, and 36, Sunnyside, Queens.

The action involves the proposed disposition of a municipal parking lot for the expansion of Queens Center mall, located on the block bounded by Queens Boulevard, 57th Avenue, 59th Avenue, 90th Street, and 92nd Street. The expansion would be located on Municipal Parking Field #1, located on the block immediately adjacent and to the east of the Queens Center mall, and on two small gas station parcels located on the same block as the mall.
