Project Location: Cortlandville
Project Description:
 The applicant proposes to expand its existing mine from the present approximately 134 acre life of mine facility to 245 acres. The final site configuration would be that of a pond of approximately 190 acres. The processing of minerals (sand and gravel) extracted from the site will continue unchanged from the present. Mining has existed at this site since about 1960 and this is a continuation of that use to the full extent of the available property. No final reclamation use has been determined at this time. The site is bounded approximately by U.S. Route 11 on the north and northeast, a Niagara Mohawk powerline on the west, the Tioughnioga River on the south, and Trout Brook on the southeast, all within the Town of Cortlandville, Cortland County.
