Negative Declaration

Cayuga County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Wetland Restoration Project (WRP) at DEC Freshwater Wetland M-9 (Donald A. Beardsley Property), will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves replacing an aging beaver dam with a DEC-supplied control structure; and creating an open channel, with laterals, for more open space to enhance nesting opportunities for waterfowl. The project is located on Donald A. Beardsley's property, at DEC Freshwater Wetland M-9, adjacent to DEC-owned wetland Helmer Marsh, off Loop Road, Town of Montezuma.

Oswego County - The town Board, Town of Mexico, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Local Law #1 of 2000, a Local Law Regulating Land Use in the Town of Mexico will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action is the Town of Mexico Zoning ordinance with amendments. The project is located in the Town of Mexico, County of Oswego.

Tompkins County - The State Education Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed acquisition of land for the Lansing Central School District, SED Project No. 61-08-01-04-5-006-006, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition of 1.72 acres of land adjacent to existing property; the demolition of a structure on the acquired property; and the construction for a parking lot that will serve the school district. The project is located at 340 Ridge Road in the Town of Lansing.

Positive Declaration

Broome County - The State Education Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed acquisition of land with an existing building for the Union Endicott Central School District, SED Project No. 03-15-01-06-0-030-001, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the purchase of 6.2 acres of land with an existing 55,688 square foot building. The project is located at 1100 E. Main Street in the Village of Endicott.

Tioga County - The State Education Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed land acquisition for the Candor Central School District SED Project No. 60-03-01-04-0-001-005, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the purchase of approximately 2 acres of land adjacent to existing property. The project is located on Academy Street in the Village of Candor.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Broome County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Final EIS on the proposed acquisition of land and construction of a new K-8 Elementary/Middle School for the Johnson City School District, SED Project No. 03-15-02-06-0-020-001. Comments on the Final EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until May 8, 2000. The action involves the acquisition of 100 acres of land adjacent to existing property and approximately 300,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located on Columbia Drive in Johnson City, New York.
