Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a new Greenbelt Middle School in the Sachem Central School District at Holbrook, SED Project No. 58-02-05-06-0-051-001, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves 170,000 square feet of new construction on existing property. The project is located on Waverly Avenue in Holtsville, New York.

The action involves 416,500 square feet of new construction on existing property. The project is located on Granny Road in Farmingville, New York.

Suffolk County - The State Education Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Terrace Junior High, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves additions and alterations to the Terrace Junior High. The project is located on Redman Avenue, Islip Terrace, New York.

Positive Declaration

Nassau County - The Village of Old Westbury Board of Zoning Appeals, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Little Village School may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves an application for a special permit approval to construct a private school on a 10-acre site located within the Village's B-4 residential zoning district. The site is currently undeveloped and consists of wooded areas and open fields. The proposed school would operate five days a week and would have 325 students and 176 staff members. The proposed building would have a total floor area of 43,400 square feet and 253 parking spaces. The project is located in the Village of Old Westbury, south side of Store Hill Road, approximately 2,000 feet east of the Powell's Lane intersection.

The action involves a subdivision of land and installation of single-family residence with extensive retaining walls on a severely sloped parcel of land. Suffolk County - The Planning Board Town of Babylon, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Job #00-20AF, Daniel Land Co., LLC (B.J.'s Wholesale) may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a subdivision of an 18.5 acre parcel. A 132,000 sq.ft. structure on 8.4 acres was outparcelled; the remaining 10.1 acre recharge basin would be developed as 2.6 acre and 4.4 acre industrial parcels and the remaining 3.1 acres for a recharge basin. The current proposal involves the filling and development of the 10.1 acre recharge basin for a 108,532 sq.ft. Retail structure (B.J.'s Wholesale Club) and 6,120 sq.ft. Gasoline station. A leaching system will replace the recharge basin stormwater handling of Daniel Street. This proposal is substantially different from the project originally approved. The project is located the south side of Daniel Street, 1,155' west of Broadhollow Road (Route 110), Hamlet of East Farmingdale, Town of Babylon, New York. SCTM # Dist. 0100-Sect.32- Block 01- Lot(s) 15.3, 15.4 & 15.5.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Nassau County - The Village of Sands Point Board of Trustees, as lead agency has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Amendment to the Village Club of Sands Point Master Plan - Traffic Circulation and Access. The action involves the amendment to the Master Plan for the Village Club of Sands Point. The amendment involves a change in site access and traffic circulation. Specifically, most traffic would enter the site off Thayer Lane, which would also serve as an exit. The east gate on Astor Lane and the existing exit at Astor Lane/Middle Neck Road would also be used as exits. The east gate may also be used as an entrance. The project is located at the Village Club of Sands Point, Middle Neck Road and Astor Lane, Sands Point, New York.

Suffolk County - The Huntington Town Planning Board, as lead agency has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Old Orchard Woods (Resubdivision of Lot 1 - Map of Hogan Plat). The action involves the subdivision of a 24.21 acre property zoned R-20 Residential (Minimum lot size of 20,000 square feet) into twenty-two (22) modified lots for the subsequent construction/creation of new single-family homes, roadway; an approximate 62,000 square foot recharge basin and 5.7 acres of reserve area. The project is located northwest side of North Creek Road, 747.78 feet west of Eaton's Neck Road in Eaton Neck, designated as parcel 0400-001-01-004.1 on the Suffolk County Tax Map.
