Project Description:
 The Department has made a tentative determination to renew this permit for a discharge of 8,800 gallons per day (gpd) (outfall 001) of treated sanitary wastewater to an unnamed tributary of Gardner Hollow Brook and 19,200 gpd of treated sanitary wastewater to Gardner Hollow Brook (outfall 002) from the Dover Ridge Estates Development (Dover Ridge Sewer District). The Town also requests a permit modification to authorize a 30,000 gpd discharge through existing outfall 002 to serve the entire development from an upgraded wastewater treatment plant at outfall 002. The treatment plant for outfall 001 will be abandoned. The Department has prepared a draft permit containing proposed effluent limits, monitoring requirements and a schedule of compliance for completion of the treatment plant upgrade.

Project Description:
 The applicant proposes the county-wide application of mosquito larvicides at various sites located within DEC-regulated freshwater wetlands. The mosquito larvicides that will be used include VectoLex WDG granules (Active ingredient: Bacillus sphaericus, EPA Reg. No. 275-135) and VectoLex CG granules (Active ingredient: Bacillus sphaericus, EPA Reg. No. 275-77). The proposed pesticides are biological control agents that would be applied directly to mosquito breeding habitats. The project is being undertaken to reduce the numbers of mosquitos that may transmit the West Nile
