The action involves a change in zoning classification from R-1 and Agricultural to Manufacturing-Industrial of approximately 96 acres. The project is located on Glenwood Avenue in Oneida.

The action involves the construction of a new bus maintenance building for Owego Free Academy. The project location is 36 Talcott Street, Owego New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Tioga County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed F.S. Lopke Contracting Inc mining permits. A public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be held on May 10, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at Lounsberry United Methodist Church Meeting Hall, 3586 East River Road, Nichols, New York. Written comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be accepted until May 22, 2000. The action involves operation of two surface unconsolidated mines in the town of Nichols Tioga County. Both proposed mines are located approximately 8.5 miles west of the NYS Route 96/38 bridge in Owego, New York, on the south side of the Susquehanna River. The two mine sites are separated by the Southern Tier Expressway (NYS Route 17) and are accessible from the Lounsberry exit (Exit #63) of that highway.
