Project Description:
The Department has received a new application and has drafted an Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the Environmental Conservation Law, an Air State Facility Permit at the facility located at the above referenced address which repair aircraft to original factory specifications and paint spraying of the airplanes for Emision Units 1-COAT1 and 2-COAT2. In addition Emission Unit 3-COMP1 is used for fiberglass repairs. This permit includes Federally enforceable conditions to limit Particulates and individual Hazardous Air P9ollutants to less than 10 ton each and total Hazardous Air Pollutants to less than 25 tons per year, total Volatile Organic Compounds to less than 50 tons per year. Also place a cap on the use of aircraft primer paint R9011 made by U.S. Paint to 750/1500 gallons per year and primer paint R3211 made by U.S. Paint to 250/500 gallons per year of emissions of Strontium Chromate for Emission Units 1-COAT1 and 2-COAT2 respectively. All of the "cap" emissions are to be considered to be below the applicable threshold levels set forth in 6 NYCRR Parts 201, 212, 226 and 228.
