Project Description:
 The Department has made a tentative determination to approve a modification of a permit for an existing sanitary waste discharge to groundwater, from the main campus of Galway Central School. The modification involves the discharge of wash water (up to 2500 gallons per day) from a new bus maintenance facility, treated by sand grit chambers and oil/water separator prior to discharge to a tributary to Glowegee Creek (class C). The project is located on Parkis Mills Road, 0.2 miles east of NYS Rt.147. A draft permit has been prepared and is available for review.

Project Description:
 Proposed spring or fall maintenance dredging of 810 cubic yards of accumulated sediment between the existing docks of Ellsworth Marina (Dunhams Bay Brook), with disposal of material on upland adjacent lawn areas owned by the applicant. The purpose is to increase water depths at the docks to two feet, to improve boat access. The project is located on the east side of Bay Road, directly south of the Route 9L bridge, Town of Queensbury.

Project Description:
 The New York District of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is proposing to perform maintenance dredging of the "Narrows of Lake Champlain Federal Navigation Channel". The Narrows area connects the main lake of Lake Champlain with the New York State Barge Canal System at Lock 12 at Whitehall. The proposal involves removing approximately 47,000 cubic yards of dredged material to a "user depth" of 10 feet. Dredged spoil material will be disposed of within an 8 acre portion of Cooke's Island - a 30 acre federally owned island located within the navigation channel. Approximately 4 acres of DEC-mapped freshwater wetland WH-2 (class 1) will be temporarily impacted by spoil disposal operations. Any wetlands permanently impacted by the project will be mitigated at a 1.5:1 ratio. Dredging will occur within a section of navigation channel approximately 8000 feet in length. The purpose of the dredging is to restore the navigation channel to a depth and width that is safe for recreational and commercial users.
