Negative Declaration

Allegany County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed acquisition of land and construction of a new Bus Garage in the Bolivar-Richburg Central School District, SED Project No. 02-29-02-04-5-016-001, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves the site purchase of approximately 2 acres of land adjacent to existing property and approximately 26,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located at 100 School Street in the Village of Bolivar.

Erie County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed new construction of the Alternative Education Facility for the Frontier Central School District, SED Project No. 14-16-04-06-0-020-001, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves 39,100 square feet of new construction on 4.35 acres of donated land adjacent to existing property. The project is located at S 4432 Bayview Road in the Town of Hamburg.

Niagara County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Boulder Springs Clay Mine Project by Walck Brothers Agricultural Services, Inc. Will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the mining of clay from 12.7 acres of land owned by Suzanne Dietz. The reclamation plan for the site is a recreational fishing pond complex to be available to the public on a fee basis. The project is located at 7342 Bowen Road, approximately 1000 feet east of Shaffer Road and approximately 250 feet south of Bowen Road in the Town of Lockport, Niagara County.

Erie County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed additions and alterations to the Main Building in the Akron Central School District, SED Project No.14-21-01-04-0-001-005, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves 71,725 square feet of new additions on existing property. The project is located at 47 Bloomingdale Avenue in the Town of Akron.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Chautauqua County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed Jefferson Middle School Improvement Project for the Jamestown City School District. The Project is located on Martin Road, along the border of the City of Jamestown and the Town of Kiantone in the County of Chautauqua, State of New York. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until April 30, 2000. A public hearing will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Middle School on Martin Road, Jamestown, New York.

There are two principal components to this action. They consist of renovations, upgrades and improvements to the existing Jefferson Middle School and renovations and construction of athletic facilities. The Jefferson Middle School improvements and the athletic improvements are collectively referred to as the Jefferson Middle School Improvement Project. Control Numbers are 06-17-00-01-2-020-001, 06-17-00-01-7-022-001, 06-17-00-01-7-023-001 and 06-17-00-01-0-015-007.

Chautauqua County - The Village of Silver Creek, as lead agency had accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Village of Silver Creek Comprehensive Plan. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on 5/1/00 at 7:45pm at Village Hall, 172 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 5/12/00. The action involves the preparation, adoption, and implementation of a comprehensive plan for the Village of Silver Creek. This document will provide planning information and guiding principles, goals, and objectives to direct future development in the Village of Silver Creek. The purpose of the comprehensive plan is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for residents and their neighborhoods while exploring future opportunities through sensitively designed development giving consideration to the social and economic welfare of the village and its residents. The project is applicable to the entire Village of Silver Creek.

The project is located at 46 West Street in the Town of Friendship.

The project is located at School Street in the Village of Brocton, Town of Portland.

The action involves the purchase of 135 acres of land and 22,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located on Murphy Road in the Town of Orchard Park.
