Project Description:
 THE TOWN OF GENESEO HAS SUBMITTED A WATER SUPPLY APPLICATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING UP TO 75,000 GALLONS OF WATER PER DAY TO A 200 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND NORTH OF ROUTE 20A AND SOUTH OF LIMA ROAD AND GENERALLY ACROSS THE ROAD FROM WALMART. THE GATEWAY PARK CONTAINS LANDS FOR RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL USES. INITIALLY THE WATER SOURCE WILL BE FROM THE VILLAGE OF GENESEO'S SYSTEM USING CONESUS LAKE WATER. ANALYSIS SHOWS THAT THE VILLAGE IS WITHIN THEIR NYSDEC PERMITTED WATER ALLOCATION FROM CONESUS LAKE. IT IS PLANNED THAT IN THE FUTURE THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY WILL SUPPLY ADDITIONAL WATER USING THE HEMLOCK/CANADICE SOURCE OF SUPPLY. THE SITE PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO MEET NYSDEC STORMWATER QUALITY REQUIREMENTS.

Project Description:
 The Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation has applied to renew the Hazardous Waste Management Facility permit for the Brooks Avenue Storage Facility. The facility currently receives solid wastes including asbestos insulation and waste oils, and hazardous wastes including PCB wastes, solvents, and characteristic wastes from offsite and onsite RG&E operations. The facility includes a PCB waste storage building which houses drums and metal storage bins, two PCB oil storage tanks with secondary containment, and two portable buildings for waste storage.The application includes changes in waste codes, fire fighting training, and the facility SIC code to 4939; the replacement of EP Tox Testing with TCLP Testing; the addition of organic air emission standards; the addition of land ban information to waste product records; and the update of the corrective action closure program. A draft permit module has been prepared which incorporates these changes as well as Department initiated changes. Specifically, the draft permit includes the acknowledgment of the closure of the former PCB tank farm; product recovery efforts as interim corrective measures at two monitoring wells; an update of ongoing corrective actions to investigate soil contamination at previously identified solid waste management units (SWMUs) and areas of concerns, and onsite groundwater contamination; and proposed investigation of offsite groundwater contamination. The draft permit, renewal application, and information required under 373-1, are available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 office.

Project Description:
 The applicant proposes to increase approved design capacity from 1000 tons per day to 1450 tpd, add construction and demolition debris to the materials processed at the facility, construct catwalks within the building for covering vehicles with tarp and allow the doors to remain open during the hours of operation. The outside staging area originally proposed in the modification request has been withdrawn.
