Project description and location: DOT proposes to construct a 95 ft. diameter by 44.3 ft. high dome type structure at its existing maintenance site in Cranberry Lake located on the north side of NYS Route 3 easterly of the Oswegatchie River. The structure will be used to store salt and mixed salt/road abrasives for use in winter highway maintenance. In addition, twenty 10 ft. tall white pine trees will be planted west and south from the proposed structure. The project is located on NYS Route 3 in Town of Clifton, St. Lawrence County.
Land Use Classification: State Administrative by the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan
Oneida County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Site Preparation by Herbicide Application Oneida 8, Stands A-7, A-17 and A-18 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves herbicide application to low level vegetation of undesirable species in conjunction with a timber sale harvest. Herbicide treatment will occur in an area comprising 42 acres. A total of 47 acres are being harvested selectively of which the treatment area is a part. Understory in the treatment areas is dominated by honeysuckle up to 6 feet in height. There is no significant amount of regeneration of more desirable species. Desirable hardwood such as black cherry, hard maple and ash will not become established in significant quantity after the harvest without removal of the competing vegetation. The herbicide Roundup will be used to treat the vegetation. The project is located 4 miles east of the Village of Waterville in the Town of Marshall.

Oneida County - The City of Utica, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hotel Utica Renovation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposed renovation of the former Hotel Utica, a 13-story building, into a luxury hotel and restaurant. The project is located at 102 Lafayette Street in the City of Utica, Oneida County.

St. Lawrence County - The Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Oriented Strand Board (OSB) Mill will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction and operation of an OSB Mill capable of providing approximately 480 million square feet of 3/8" board per year and all related extensions of infrastructure to project site. The project is located at 223 Wagner Road in the Town of Lisbon.
