Jefferson County - The Watertown City Council, as lead agency has determined that the proposed J.C. Penney Site Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition and demolition of the building that formerly housed a J.C. Penney store at 127-129 Arsenal Street and construction of a 30-35 car public parking lot or greenspace. The project is located at 127-129 Arsenal Street.

The Adirondack Park Agency, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Amendments to Adirondack Park Agency Regulations. The action involves the proposed revisions to eleven priority sections of the Adirondack Park Agency's regulations, specifically 9 NYCRR Subtitle Q, Parts 572, 573, and 588 representing Part 1 of Phase 1 of the Agency's regulatory revision effort.
There will be three public hearings, combined to satisfy both State Administrative Procedure Act and State Environmental Quality Review Act requirements. The dates, times, and locations for these are as follows:
