Positive Declaration and Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Onondaga County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed additions and alterations to the Central High School in the East Syracuse Minoa Central School District, SED Project No. 42-04-01-06-0-021-006. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until March 30, 2000. The action involves 40,120 square feet of new additions on existing property. The project is located at 6400 Fremont Road in the Town of Manlius.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Tompkins County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed acquisition of land for the Lansing Central School District, SED Project No. 61-08-01-04-5-006-006. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until April 6, 2000. The action involves the acquisition of 1.72 acres of land adjacent to existing property, the demolition of a structure on the acquired property and the construction for a parking lot that will serve the school district. The project is located at 340 Ridge Road in the Town of Lansing.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Notice of Hearing

Broome County - The Town Board of the Town of Vestal, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Shoppes at Vestal shopping center. A public hearing will be held on March 22, 2000 at 7:30 PM at the Vestal Town Hall, 605 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal. Written comments on the draft EIS will be accepted until April 12, 2000. The action involves the construction of a retail shopping center located west of African Road and north of the Vestal Parkway East, with approximately 95,000 SF of retail stores and approximately 495 parking spaces provided. The total area of the site is 13.5 acres, while about 8.1 acres will be utilized for the shopping center. Copies of the Draft EIS are available at the Vestal Town Clerk's Office, 605 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal or the Vestal Public Library, 320 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal during regular business hours.
