Project Description:
The applicant proposes to rehabilitate approximately 3730 linear feet of river wall along the Genesee River in the City of Rochester. The project includes reconstructing the top 10 feet of the wall, dredging 253 cubic yards of silt from the river; installation of cofferdam in the river along the entire length of the work area; dewatering of the in-river work area; and rehabilitation of the adjoining park. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the Regional office of NYS DEC.

Project Description:
THE XEROX CORPORATION HAS FILED A RENEWAL APPLICATION WITH MODIFICATIONS FOR THEIR MANAGEMENT OF HAZARDOUS WASTE AT THE WEBSTER NY FACILITY. THE WASTES INCLUDING ACIDS, SOLVENTS, CAUSTICS, AND HEAVY METALS ARE GENERATED FROM MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS, TEMPORARILY STORED AND ULTIMATELY TRANSPORTED TO AN OFF SITE TREATMENT/DISPOSAL FACILITY. THE PERMIT CONTAINS A CORRECTIVE ACTION PROGRAM FOR 105 SITES THAT HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY HAZARDOUS WASTES. THE CONSENT ORDERS FOR THE SALT ROAD CONTAMINATION SITE AND A CLOSED LANDFILL ON XEROX PROPERTY WILL NOW BE INCORPORATED INTO THE PERMIT. A COPY OF THE APPLICATION AND DRAFT PERMIT ARE AVAILABLE AT THE WEBSTER FREE LIBRARY,ONE VAN INGEN DRIVE, WEBSTER,NY AND AT THE NYSDEC EAST AVON OFFICE.

Project Description:
THE APPLICANT HAS APPLIED FOR A FRESHWATER WETLAND PERMIT FOR A PROPOSED WALMART STORE TO BE LOCATED ADJACENT TO WETLAND CN-2 IN THE VICINITY OF ROBERT DANN DRIVE AND ROUTE 15. IN ADDITION A REQUEST HAS BEEN MADE TO USE LANDS MANAGED BY NYSDEC FOR THE PURPOSE OF STORING FLOOD WATER IN THE GANG MILLS AREA. THE WETLAND IMPACT WILL BE MITIGATED BY CREATING 0.74 ACRES OF WETLAND ALONG SCIENCE DRIVE, AND THE FLOOD STORAGE IMPACT WILL BE MITIGATED BY CREATING 3.1 ACRE FEET OF STORAGE AREA. THE NYSDEC APPPROVES OF THE CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT IMPACT MITIGATION PLAN.
