Project description and location: The applicants seek after-the-fact approval for a five lot subdivision creating a 0.75 acre (Couture) lot with mobile home, a 7.0 acre (Gillespie) lot with single family dwelling, 19 acre vacant lot (Harrington), 1.72 acre (Lacy) lot and a 96 acre lot with a preexisting farm house. The applicants also seek prospective approval of a 23 acre lot containing the preexisting farmhouse, a 1.0 acre lot for a mobile home and a 73 acre vacant lot. All lots are to be or will be serviced by on-site water and wastewater treatment systems. The project site is located in Low Intensity Use and Resource Management land use areas as designated by the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map in the Town of Saranac, Clinton County.

Positive Declaration

Washington County - The Town of Easton Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Krise Major Resubdivision 1-2000 may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a major resubdivision for a single family residence on one lot within a plat that includes 15 single family residential lots and a large open space area. The Town of Easton CEA-3 is located within the open space area. Each individual housing is serviced by an individual well and septic system. Impacts include the potential for further expansion of the 15 lots within plat: presents growing concerns for public health issues. The project is located on Windy Hill Road in the Town of Easton.
