Negative Declarations

Delaware County - The Village of Walton, Village Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed adoption of the Village of Walton Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the establishment of land use and development policies for the Village and identifies measures to implement them. The project is located village-wide, Village of Walton.

Schoharie County - The Village of Cobleskill Board of Trustees, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Reconstruction of firehouse will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the issuance of a bond resolution for the replacement of a firehouse in the Village of Cobleskill. The project is located in the Village of Cobleskill.

Positive Declarations

Albany County - The Town Board, Town of Bethlehem, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Nigro Commercial Development - Route 9W Building Project Application - PCD No. 2, may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves applying for a Building Project Approval in an existing Planned Commercial District. The proposal is to construct a 349,630-square-foot shopping center with parking for 1,851 vehicles. The center would consist of five free-standing structures housing a discount superstore, home improvement center, restaurant, fast-food restaurant and bank. Project acreage equals 75.78 acres, of which, 44.5 +/- acres will be developed. The project concept plan indicates access would come from two driveways along U.S. Route 9W and an additional driveway along Bender Lane (a town street). The project is located on the west side of U.S. Route 9W, north of Bender Lane, Town of Bethlehem.

Otsego County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed acquisition of land for the Morris Central School District, SED Project No. 47-12-01-04-0-001-007, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the purchase of 90 acres located at 65 Main Street in the Town of Morris.

Positive Declaration and Acceptance of Draft EIS

Albany County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has required and accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed land acquisition and additions / alterations to the Junior Senior High School in the Voorheesville Central School District, SED Project No. 01-10-03-06-0-001-010. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until March 22, 2000. The action involves the purchase of 28 acres and approximately 72,450 square feet of new additions. The project is located at 432 New Salem Road in the Town of New Scotland.
