Negative Declaration

Westchester County - The Town of Mount Pleasant Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Mount Pleasant Highway Department Salt Storage Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposal to construct a salt storage facility for the storage of road salt and materials for use by the Town Highway Department. The project is located on Columbus Avenue in Thornwood.

Positive Declaration

Westchester County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed additions and alterations to the Briarcliff Middle/High School in the Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District, SED Project No. 66-14-02-02-0-004-008, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared.

The action involves 77,000 square feet of new additions on existing property. The project is located at 444 Pleasantville Road in the Village of Briarcliff Manor.

Notices of Acceptance of Revised Draft EIS

Dutchess County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a revised Draft EIS on the proposed new Bus Garage on the Van Wyck Site in the Wappingers Central School District, SED Project No. 13-21-01-06-5-037-001. The comment period has been extended to March 17, 2000. Comments are requested on the revised Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until this date. The action involves 2,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located on Hillside Lake Road in the Town of Wappingers Falls.

Dutchess County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed New Main Transportation Facility in the Wappingers Central School District, SED Project No. 13-21-01-06-5-036-001. The comment period has been extended to March 17, 2000. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until this date. The action involves 4,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located on South Remsen Avenue in the Town of Wappingers Falls.

Notice of Acceptance of Final Supplemental EIS

Westchester County - The City of White Plains Planning Board, as lead agency has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed D'Elia Subdivision - Reynal Park Subdivision. The action involves the Subdivision of a 5.4 acre parcel into approximately 8 to 11 lots for single-family detached homes in accordance with the regulations of the R1-5 Residential One Family Zoning District which requires a minimum lot area of 5,000 square feet per dwelling unit. The SFEIS addresses preservation of the Mamaroneck River and on-site streambeds, riparian wetlands, upland wetlands, wetland setbacks, steep slopes areas, and non-disturbance tree preservation areas. The expansion of riparian wetlands is proposed to mitigate disturbance to limited wetland and wetland setback areas. . The project is located in the neighborhood area bounded by the existing nearby streets of Ridgeway, Coralyn Avenue, Hillair Circle and Kenneth Road. The site is located between the City of White Plains Greenway Park (the former Boston-Westchester Railroad right-of-way) and the West Branch of the Mamaroneck River. Access to the subdivision, as proposed, would be provided at Nat Crossing, an undeveloped street right-of-way which connects to Coralyn Avenue in the City of White Plains.
