Project Description:
Telergy Central LLC proposes to modify 29 sections of fiber optic line installed in 1997 within the Niagara Mohawk 345kv power line right of way, between Niagara and Albany Counties, New York. All overhead portions of the line will be replaced with underground cable within the existing right of way The project will include boring under six protected streams including the Erie Canal, East and West Canada Creeks and the Mohawk River. One protected tributary of Caroga Creek C(t) will be crossed by direct burial. Approximately 22,000 ft of Federal and State Freshwater Wetlands will be crossed over the length of the project by directional boring or direct burial. No fill is associated with this project. Only temporary construction related impacts are anticipated. Maps of the locations proposed for modification may be requested from the applicant at (315)362-2000.
