|Positive Declaration and Public Scoping|
Tompkins County - The City of Ithaca Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the Cornell University Duffield Hall may have a significant environmental impact and that a draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A pubic scoping session will be held on February 29, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. in Common Council Chambers, 108 East Green Street, Ithaca. Project information is available for review in Ithaca City Hall. The project consists of a proposed three-story building with a basement and penthouse totaling 88 feet in height. The total building area is approximately 150,000 gross square feet. The building use is to consist of clean room space, wet and dry laboratories, student and staff offices, meeting space, and in addition, will provide a new home for the Cornell Nanofabrication Facility. The primary purpose of the facility is to support research and instruction in electronic and photonic devices, microelectromechanical devices, advanced material processing and biotechnological devices. Project also includes extensive site work to renovate the existing engineering quadrangle.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS|
Onondaga County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has required and accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed land acquisition and addition / alterations to the McKinley Brighton Magnet School in the Syracuse City School District, SED Project No.42-18-00-01-0-015-007. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until February 23, 2000. The action involves the construction of a new 32,000 square foot addition along West Pleasant Street and the purchase of .46 acres adjacent to the present site, which will allow expansion of the existing parking area. The project is located at 141 West Pleasant Street in the City of Syracuse.

Onondaga County - The Town of Onondage Planning Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Brittany Hills Subdivision (Amended Preliminary Plan and Final Plan Approval) may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the proposal to amend the preliminary plan of the Brittany Hills Subdivision to provide for an alternate drainage scheme for a portion of the subdivision. The project site is bounded by Skyline Drive on the south, by Broad Road on the east and on the west by Cleveland Road in the Town of Onondaga.
