Suffolk County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed addition and alteration to the Patchogue-Medford High School in the Patchogue-Medford Union Free School District, SED Project No.58-02-24-03-0-015-010, will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves the addition of 187,348 square feet. The project is located at 181 Buffalo Avenue in the Town of Brookhaven.

Notice of Public Scoping

Nassau County - The Incorporated Village of Manorhaven Board of Trustees, as lead agency has received a draft scope for the proposed Villas on Manhasset Bay (Redevelopment of Thypin Steel Property). The proposed project consists 96 townhouse units, 96 garages, 55 off street parking spaces, a playground, pool, recreation building and a boardwalk and boat pier on Manhasset Bay on a 11.038 acre site. The property was formerly occupied by Thypin Steel. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until February 20, 2000. The project is located at the intersection of Yennicock Avenue and Sagamore Hill Road in the Incorporated Village of Manorhaven.

Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until March 7, 2000. The action involves an addition of 33,800 square feet. The project is located at 10 Newbury Road in the Town of North Hempstead.

Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until February 23, 2000. The project is located at 150 Academy Street in the Town of Islip.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Nassau County - The Village of Great Neck Zoning Board of Appeals, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed application of Murray Honig to construct a building to be used for religious purposes. A public hearing on the draft EIS will be held on March 2, 2000 at 7:30 PM at Village Hall, Village of Great Neck, 61 Baker Hill Road, Great Neck. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 10 days following the close of the public hearing. The action involves the construction of a building to be used by Congregation Shira Chadasha for conduct of religious services. The project is located at 695 Middle Neck Road in the Village of Great Neck.

Notice of Acceptance of Final Supplemental EIS

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Town Board, as lead agency has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Riverhead Centre. The action involves a proposal to alter the zoning on approximately 50 acres of land currently zoned Industrial A', Agricultural A" and Residence C' to Industrial A' and Business B' to allow construction of a 395,000 square foot shopping center. The project is located on the northeast corner of Old County Road (CR 58) and Mill Road, Riverhead Hamlet, Town of Riverhead.
