Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct a surface parking lot with approx. 840 parking spaces, entrance/exit roads, collection booths, and modifications to Airport internal roadway system to accommodate shuttle van and passenger vehicle traffic to the Airport terminal area. Project involves disturbance to approx. 2-1/2 acres of federal wetlands, which the applicant is proposing under US ACOE Nationwide #26. Mitigation includes restoration of 4 acres of wetlands associated with FWW #N-3 off Wade Rd near the terminus of the eastern runway. The parking log would be located on Airport Lane with roadways extending to Albany Shaker Rd.
