Project description and location: Phased recommencement of an abandoned commercial use associated with former Sitting Bull Ranch during the next approximate three years: Phase I to reopen 29 rental cabins, indoor pool, reception area, snack bar and bar, tennis courts, playground area, basketball and volleyball courts and horse stables. Phase II to reopen restaurant and dining room. Phase III to reopen motel, and outdoor pool. Existing wells and new on-site wastewater treatment systems are to serve the project. The project is located in the Town of Warrensburg, Warren County.

Negative Declaration

Essex County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a new Bus Garage for the Crown Point Central School District, SED Project No. 15-02-03-04-5-003-001, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of 2 repair/work bays and 10 storage bays totaling 9,246 square feet located on the existing school site. The project is located on Main Street in Crown Point, New York.

Franklin County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed OSB, Chateaugay, LLC application will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to construct and operate a manufacturing facility to process pulpwood (primarily poplar) wafers or strands into construction grade composite wood panels for the building industry. When fully operational the plant will be capable of producing upwards of 430 million square feet per year of product. The facility will operate continuously, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and will generate up to 137 permanent jobs. It will be constructed on a 45 acre portion of a 92 acre parcel of land. The manufacturing part of the operation will be housed within a building (350,000 square feet). Only the log storage yard will be outside. Delivery of logs and other materials necessary for the manufacturing process and shipment of finished products will depend upon trucking.. The project is located approximately four-tenths of a mile south of the Village of Chateaugay, west of and adjacent to Route 374 in the Town of Chateaugay.

Saratoga County - The Town of Halfmoon, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Water Treatment Plant will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of public water system improvements, including a new two million-gallon per day (mgd) water treatment plant, raw water pump station, intake, piping, and related water system appurtenances. Future expansion of the water treatment plant to six mgd is anticipated. The project is located at Routes 4 & 32 at Brookwood Road, Town of Halfmoon.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS & Public Hearing

Warren County - The Town of Queensbury Town Board, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Veterans Field Light Industrial Park. A public hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on February 15, 2000 at 7:00 PM at the Queensbury Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury. Written comments on the draft EIS will be accepted until February 28, 2000. The action involves the proposed development of a light industrial park on a 46.5 acre parcel. The project is located east of Veterans Road, south of Sherman Avenue and north of Luzerne Road in the Town of Queensbury.
