Project Description:
 The applicant has applied for a permit to continue mining sand and gravel within an 11 acre life of mine pit located off Route 374 near the intersection with Church Street in the Town of Plattsburgh. Although the life of mine acreage remains the same as previously permitted, the footprint of the mine site has now been shifted to the north and west of the original site. The applicant also proposes to disturb an additional 6.7 acres during the requested 5 year renewal term beyond the 4.3 acres currently affected by mining activities. Mining will continue in the same manner as described in the expiring permit. It is proposed that 6.7 acres will be reclaimed during the upcoming permit term.
