|Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing|
Westchester County - The Town of Greenburgh Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Solomon Schechter School of Westchester Middle School and High School. A public hearing on the draft EIS will be held on February 9, 2000, at the Town of Greenburgh Town Hall, 320 Tarrytown Road, Elmsford, New York. Written comments on the draft EIS will be accepted until February 22, 2000. The action involves the proposed construction of an approximately 129,300-square-foot middle school and high school to accommodate 675 students in grades six through 12 on a 23.5-acre site. The proposed school building consists of four, one- and two-story building wings surrounding a central courtyard and fronting on West Hartsdale Avenue. Surface parking lots with a total of 185 parking spaces will serve the school. Outdoor recreation facilities, including an athletic field, softball field, four tennis courts and a basketball court are proposed as well. The project is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of West Hartsdale Avenue (Route 100A) and Pat Capone Roads, Town of Greenburgh.

Orange County - The Town of Monroe Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Twin Lake Estates Major Subdivision. The action involves the request for subdivision approval for a 22-lot major subdivision, with the creation of appurtenant access roads and drainage devices, on a 28.8 acre parcel in the SR-15 zone. The project is located on Lakes Road in the Town of Monroe.
