Positive Declarations

Albany County - The Town of Colonie Planning Board, as Lead Agency, has determined that the proposed Shaker Farms Offices project may have a significant adverse environment impact and that a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared. The project involves the construction of 158,000 sq. ft. of office space and 703 parking spaces on a 24.3 acre site located at 900 Watervliet Shaker Road in the Town of Colonie.

Schenectady County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed addition and alteration to the Jefferson Elementary School in the Schalmont Central School District, SED Project No. 53-05-01-06-0-005-010, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the addition of 25,500 square feet of construction. The project is located at 100 Princetown Road in the Town of Rotterdam.

Draft EIS

Albany County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS for the Guilderland Central School District on the proposed land acquisition and construction of a New Bus Garage, SED Project No. 01-08-02-06-5-016-001 and the proposed land acquisition and alterations at Guilderland High School, SED Project No. 01-08-02-06-0-005-015. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until January 27, 2000. The action for Project No. 01-08-02-06-5-016-001 involves the site purchase of approximately 7 acres and 25,000 square feet of new construction. The action for Project No. 01-08-02-06- 0-005-015 involves the site purchase of 7.2 acres. The projects are both located on School Road in the Town of Guilderland.
