Project Description:
The Town of Schuyler Highway Department proposes to discharge a maximum of 270 gallons per day of cold water washings (non-detergent) from its floor drain in the highway building into a drainage ditch along Windfall Road. The wash water is utilized during the winter months for plow trucks and is sent through an oil/water separator prior to discharge. The facility is located at 218 Windfall Road in the Town of Schuyler, Herkimer County.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct eight waterfowl nesting potholes, each 2000 square feet in size x 4' deep (maximum) and an average depth of 1.5' in the adjacent area of regulated Freshwater Wetland HV-14, a 2690 acre Class I flooded wetland/emergent marsh complex. The site is located 1.5 miles east of County Road 11, on the south side of East Road, approximately 6 miles south of the Village of Heuvelton. The project is in conjunction with the Federal Wetland Reserve Program (WRP).
