Orange County - The Town of Woodbury, as lead agency, has determined that the "Woodbury Center" retail and hotel/office project will not have a significant, unmitigated adverse impacts on the environment. The project is one of 3 non-residential development parcels located in the Interchange Commerce Center (ICC) Site at the junction of Route 17/Route 6/NYS Thruway Interchange 16, in Central Valley, Woodbury. Development of the entire ICC Site was considered in a prior EIS, and the current proposal is for less intensive development than projected and analyzed in the EIS. Under the current proposal, potential wetlands impacts are avoided; traffic impacts are mitigated; and water supply, sewage treatment and emergency access have been assured.
