Project Sponsor: Dormitory Authority of the State of New York
NY County (Manhattan) - The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) as lead agency has determined that the John Jay College of Criminal Justice ("John Jay College" or the "College") project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The proposed action consists of DASNY's issuance of tax-exempt Dormitory Authority obligations on behalf of The City University of New York, with a portion of the proceeds to be used for the acquisition of real property, demolition of existing structures on that property, and construction on the property of a replacement facility for John Jay College's North Hall facility and other leased space. The project does not include any proposals for reusing the North Hall site. The project will consolidate the North Hall and leased space operations in a new facility adjacent to and interconnected with the College's Herein Hall building. The project site is Block 1087, Lot 1 and Lot 5, Borough of Manhattan, New York County, New York.
