Nassau County - The Village of Sands Point Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a draft EIS on a proposed amendment to the master plan for the Village Club of Sands Point, involving changes in traffic circulation and access. The project site is the Village Club of Sands Point, Middle Neck Road and Astor Lane, Sands Point, New York. A public hearing will be held on January 25, 2000, at 8:00 p.m. in the Sands Point Village Hall, 26 Tibbits Lane, Sands Point, NY.

Project description: The proposed project is a retail, health spa and restaurant facility to be located at 90 Northern Boulevard, Greenvale, NY, at the southwestern corner of Northern Boulevard and Glen Cove Road. The proposed facility is designed for a sewage flow of 15, 600 gallons per day to be discharged into an on-site subsurface sanitary disposal system with multiple septic tanks and leaching pools.

Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Huntington Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the Gilbert Displays office/warehouse proposal will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment. The proposed project is located on the north side of Spagnoli Road, west of Carlin Court in Melville, Town of Huntington, within Town Designated Open Space Index Parcel OSI # SW-20.

Notice of Completion - Draft EIS

Suffolk County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed construction of a new public library in the South Huntington Union Free School District, SED Project No. 58-04-13-03-6-024-001. The action involves the construction of a two story 49,500 square foot structure on 3 acres currently owned by the District. The project is located at 145 Pigeon Hill Road in the Town of Huntington. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until January 12, 2000.

Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed addition and alteration to the Patchogue-Medford High School in the Patchogue-Medford Union Free School District, SED Project No.58-02-24-03-0-015-010, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the addition of 187,348 square feet. The project is located at 181 Buffalo Avenue in the Town of Brookhaven.

Reaffirmation of Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - Pursuant to the NYS Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the following action has been undertaken: Installation of a public water supply well and ancillary facilities in Sunken Meadow State Park, DWSRF No. 16198, a SEQR/SERP unlisted action. A Negative Declaration was issued on March 30, 1998; the Suffolk County Water Authority acting as lead agency reaffirmed on December 21, 1999 that this project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment. The action involves the installation of a public water supply well, booster station, an access road, an utility easement area and ancillary facilities within Sunken Meadow State Park. The project is located in the Town of Smithtown, County of Suffolk, State of New York.
