Project Description:
 The applicant proposes to modify and permanently retain an existing 50 ft. by 580 ft. rock rip-rap revetment placed under emergency authorization by the Department to protect buildings from flooding and Lake Ontario wave damage during the spring of 1998. The modification proposed is pulling back and tapering the structure to reduce encroachment on the adjacent property owner, provide better public access to the waterfront area, and to reduce impacts from littoral drift. The project is located at 5400 St. Paul Blvd. in the Town of Irondequoit.

Project Description:
 The applicant proposes to construct 520 feet of sanitary sewer and a .7 acre stormwater detention pond in the buffer zone of wetland PT-1. The sewer and detention pond will serve Delancy Court, a 48 lot subdivision in the Town of Pittsford, Monroe county. The project is located at 1759 and 1771 Calkins Road. If a permit is issued it will contain conditions to replace and enhance the existing functional values of the wetland.

Project Description:
 The Town of Albion proposes to establish the new Water District #4 to take for use therein a supply of water estimated to average 41,440 gallons per day from the Village of Albion's Lake Ontario Source. The project includes the installation of 41,350 linear feet of 8-inch water main and appurtenances to serve approximately 122 residential structures and future growth along Gaines Basin, Eagle Harbor, Clarendon, Holly, East Lee, and Rich's Corners Roads. The project includes crossing Class C streams. A draft permit is available for review at NYSDEC Region 8.

Project Description:
 The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this modification of the SPDES permit for discharge of approximately 2.59 MGD of storm water, noncontact cooling water, boiler blowdown, treated contact cooling water, and treated process wastewater to the Seneca River and Barge Canal from the Hampshire Chemical Corporation (locally known as Evans Chemetics) located at 228 E. Main Street in the Village of Waterloo. The facility, which manufactures sulfur-based organic chemicals, is required to design and construct a biological wastewater treatment plant to meet the limits required by USEPA's categorical standards for Organic Chemicals, Plastics, & Synthetic Fibers (40 CFR 414). This SPDES permit modification will incorporate new effluent limits and schedules, revise outfall 012 to incorporate storm water from the treatment plant, and add the new outfall (013) for treated process wastewater. This modification will be issued with an attached Consent Order which will hold it in abeyance until July 30, 2000, requiring compliance with the existing permit until that date. The draft permit, including effluent limits and monitoring requirements, is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC regional office.
