Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct one complete principal building (two untis of a multi-family residence) and a portion of four additional principal buildings with the adjacent area of tidal wetlands. Some of the structures are proposed within 30 feet of the tidal wetland boundary requiring a 45 foot variance from the statutory setback requirement of 75 feet.The applicant is proposing a vegetatively enhanced buffer zone along the tidal wetland boundary as mitigation for the variance. The project is located at Whitewood Drive in the Village of Massapequa Park, Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County.
