Project Description:
 The applicant proposes to place approximately 220,000 cubic yards of rock fill below the normal high water mark of Blenheim Gilboa Lower Reservoir in Schoharie Creek. The rock fill will either be mined on-site or obtained from a currently permitted quarry. Also proposed is the alteration of existing drainage patterns affecting approximately 5.3 acres of federal wetland in addition to 1.5 acres that would be affected by on-site mining. Wetland mitigation creating 5.8 acres of wetland and 1.0 acres of open water is proposed along with wetland enhancements and protection. The project is proposed to stabilize an existing unstable slope, adjacent to the reservoir on which large transmission towers have been erected. The project is located on lands of the applicant on the east side of Blenheim Gilboa Reservoir.
