Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a new permit for a surface discharge of 1250 gallons per day (gpd) of treated industrial wastewater from an oil/water separator into a tributary of the Muscoot River (Class C) from vehicle wash and rinse operations at the Mahopac Central School District Bus Garage. The project involves installation of the oil/water separator and construction of an outfall. The Mahopac Central School District Bus Garage is located at 90 Myrtle Avenue (east side), 2000 feet north of the intersection with Baldwin Place Road in the Town of Carmel, Putnam County. A draft permit is available for inspection and comment at the regional office.
