Negative Declaration

Erie County - The City of Buffalo as lead agency has determined that the proposed waterfront park development at the Squaw Island Landfill will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves completing closure of the Squaw Island Landfill and develop portions of the site as a new waterfront park, including closure and wetland enhancement of three ponds. The project is located in the City of Buffalo.

Positive Declarations

Allegany County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a New Pre K 12 Building in the Genesee Valley Central School District, SED Project No. 02-07-02-04-0-012-001, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves 200,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located at County Route 48 in the Town of Amity.

Allegany County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a new bus garage in the Genesee Valley Central School District, SED project No. 02-07-02-04-5-011-001, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves 16,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located at County Route 48 in the Town of Amity.

Draft EIS and Hearing

Erie County - The Village of East Aurora Board of Trustees as lead agency has accepted a draft EIS on the proposed development of a Senior Independent Living Complex by The Herman Group, LLC. The site contains 25.81 acres. The project involves the rezoning of 9.62 acres from Residential to Residential-Group/New Townhouse to allow the development of a Senior Independent Living Complex and the rezoning of 5.79 acres from Residential to Residential-Commercial to allow the development of a Senior Assisted Living Facility. The remaining 10.4 acres would be developed as a single family residential subdivision containing 23 lots. Comments on the draft EIS will be accepted by the contact person until January 3, 2000. A public hearing on the draft EIS will be held at 8:00 PM on December 20, 1999 at the Village Hall, 571 Main Street. The project is located in the Village of East Aurora.

Final GEIS

Chautauqua County - The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency as lead agency has accepted a final generic EIS for the proposed expansion of the South County Industrial Park. The project involves the proposed expansion of the South County Industrial Park in the Town of Ellicott.
