Negative Declarations

The Village of Hudson Falls, as lead agency, has determined that the Local Law No. 4 of 1999 - Establishing Chapter 215-B of the Village Code "Signs and Billboards" and amending Chapter A219 "Schedule of Fees" will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves enactment of Chapter 215-B of the Village Code to create restriction and regulations on the signs and billboards throughout the Village of Hudson Falls, Washington County.

Project Description: Proposed limestone quarry to recover 1000 cubic yards of stone for on-going Fort Ticonderoga restoration for next five years. Site is an east facing talus slope. Mining will occur over a 2 to 3 week period each year involving backhoe and air hammer and 10 delivery trips per year. When finished, quarry will be graded, seeded and mulched. The quarrying site is located approximately 700 feet north of the intersection of McCaughin and Shanahan roads in an area designated as Resource Management on the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map. The project is located in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County.

Project Description: The project involves the subdivision of 100 acres into seven lots, creating six small non-building lots for conveyance to adjoining landowners and a vacant 98 acre lot to be retained by the applicants. The six non-building lots include two very small lots (i.e. 0.03 and 0.06 acres) on one side of a private dirt road and four lots on the other side of the road. The four larger lots are 0.30, 0.619, 0.74 and 0.358 acres in size. The project site is located between White Hill Road and Blake Reservoir in the Town of Parishville, St. Lawrence County and is situated within a Resource Management land use area on the Park Plan Map.
