Negative Declarations

Westchester County - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Metro-North Commuter Railroad Company Goldens Bridge Parking Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the redesign and reconstruction of the two existing parking lots at the Goldens Bridge Railroad Station (the "Main Lot" and "South Lot"), construction of an additional surface parking area (the "East Lot"), and installation of stairways. The existing sidewalk along Route 138 would connect the new East Lot with the station platform. A new truck bypass route in the Main and South parking lots would be constructed to link the industrial uses south of the South Lot to Old Bedford Road. In addition, the two spur tracks located on the east side of the South Lot would be reconfigured and relocated to allow additional parking. With this project, Metro-North Railroad would increase parking availability at the Goldens Bridge station from 673 cars with aisle valet parking to 907 cars without aisle valet parking. There will be a public comment period of 30 days commencing with the date of this notice.
