Project Description:
The Department has received a request to issue a Research Development and Demonstration permit for the test burning of 30 tons/day of shredded waste tires at this Municipal refuse incinerator for a limited period of time. The facility is located on a 12 acre site bordered by I-81 to the north and Rock Cut Road to the south in the Town of Onondaga, Onondaga County. NOTICE OF LEGISLATIVE HEARING: A legislative hearing will be held to accept public comment on December 20, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jamesville Elementary School 6409 East Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville, NY 13078. The hearing location is reasonably accessible to persons with a mobililty impairment. Interpretor services shall be made available to deaf persons, at no charge, upon written request to the contact person or hearing officer, who is Mr. Frank Serbent, Administrative Law Judge for NYS DEC, 50 Wolf Road, Albany, NY 12233, at least seven days before the hearing. Written comments will be accepted by the contact person noted below, until January 5, 2000. The draft permit and applications are made available for public review at Onondaga County Resource Recovery Facility at 5801 Rock Cut Road, Jamesville, NY, 13078 and the DEC Region 7 Headquarters in Syracuse, NY.
