Negative Declarations

Monroe County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the reconstruction of Route I-490 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the reconstruction of 5.7 kilometers of Route I-490 from the Erie Canal to the Genesee River in the City of Rochester. The project is located in the City of Rochester.

Orleans County - The Village of Medina Village Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Glenwood Avenue Promenade will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a promenade between the Canal Basin and Glenwood Avenue and associated sidewalks, lighting and landscaping. The project is located at Canal Basin, Village of Medina.

Wayne County - The Wayne County Board of Supervisors, as lead agency, has determined that the HUD Canal Corridor Initiative will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the renovation and re-use of the Hammett Building complex in the Village of Lyons, development of regional signage, a visitors services and marketing program and the acquisition of easements and access rights to historic canal remnants, including the preparation of interpretive materials.

Wayne County - The Town of Macedon Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the Canal Access Center will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the establishment of a Canal Access Center and associated facilities on property in the Village of Macedon. Project will include the development of a public marina, extension of public water and sewer, construction of a 18,000 square foot operational facility and associated sidewalks, landscaping, lighting and parking. The project is located in the Town of Macedon.

Ontario County - The Ontario County Industrial Development Agency as lead agency has determined that the RIG Expansion project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the proposed construction of a 75,000 square foot expansion to the company's existing 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility. The project is located in the Village of Manchester.

Ontario County - The Ontario County Industrial Development Agency as lead agency has determined that the Newtex Industries, Inc., project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. Reaffirmation of a Negative Declaration

Ontario County - Pursuant to the NYS Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the following action has been undertaken. Water System Improvements in the Town of Seneca. A negative declaration was issued on August 21, 1996, this notice reaffirms that determination. The action involves the construction of a 1.5 million gallon storage tank and 6,600 linear feet of 12" water mains, pressure control vault and Kashong Switch Road Pumping Station modifications. The project is located in the Town of Seneca.

Positive Declaration

Steuben County - The Town of Erwin Planning Board as lead agency has determined that the proposed Retail Shopping Center may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and that a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The project consists of the proposed demolition of a 3,800 square foot one story office building and the construction of a shopping center of up to 350,000 square feet which includes the construction of a 155,000 square foot Super Wal-Mart Store. Monroe County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed construction of a new Listwood elementary school for the West Irondequoit Central School District, SED Project No. 26-08-03-06-0-027-001.
