Draft Supplemental EIS

Suffolk County - The Riverhead Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Zone Change, Special Permit & Site Plan of Riverhead Centre. The project involves a proposal to alter the zoning on approximately 50 acres of land currently zoned Industrial A', Agricultural A' and Residence C' to Industrial A' and Business B' to provide for the construction of a 395,000 square foot shopping center. The project is located on the n/e corner of Old Country Road (CR 58) and Mill Road in the Town of Riverhead.

Final EIS

Nassau County - The Incorporated Village of Roslyn Planning Board, as lead agency has completed a final EIS for the Roslyn Senior Residential Facility. The project involves the development of a senior residential facility with a waterfront park on an 11.077-acre parcel. The proposed project will consist of approximately 160 congregate care and 90 assisted living units, plus a publicly accessible waterfront park/promenade, which could ultimately link up with a promenade along Roslyn Creek. This site, which was previously occupied by various industrial uses including an asphalt plant and gasoline and oil storage facilities, has been vacant for approximately 15 years. As part of the site development, the applicant is also proposing to undertake remediation of soil contamination from past uses in accordance with the Voluntary Cleanup Program Remedial Work Plan agreed upon with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
