Notice of Extension of the Opportunity for Public Comment - Sand Land Corp/Wainscott Sand and Gravel

The opportunity for Public Comment for the Applicant Sand Land Corp., Facility known as Wainscott Sand and Gravel, Application ID 1-4736-00851/00001, project published in the March 20th ENB , has been extended until May 15, 2019. Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Shared Resource Public Safety and Wireless Telecommunications Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by NYS OPRHP to issue an easement to Crown Communication New York, Inc for the construction of a new telecommunications facility at the eastern end of Northern State Parkway. The proposed facility will consist of a 130 foot monopole (145 feet including lightning rod), utility backboard, and pad-mounted electrical transformer within a 52 foot by 67 foot fenced compound. Access will be gained via an existing turnaround off the Route 454 Exit Ramp, which is proposed to be covered with gravel. Ground disturbance will be limited to the tower compound and access/utility easement. The project is located on the Exit Ramp of the Northern State Parkway and NYS Route 454 in Hauppauge, New York.

Notice of Availability of Final Scope

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Planning Board, as lead agency, has made the Final Scope for the proposed Yaphank Automobile Storage Facility at Yaphank available. The Final Scope is available on line at: http://www.brookhavenny.gov/. The action involves the clearing and grading of approximately 22 acres of naturally vegetated areas of a three (3) parcel site, totaling approximately 36 acres in size, to accommodate an automobile storage facility. The proposed facility would include approximately 21.43 acres of recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) surface areas that would be created for the storage of vehicles. The proposed RCA lot will be surrounded by naturally vegetated buffer areas and a proposed 47,000 square foot recharge basin to be created within the northern portion of the subject property for the purposes of stormwater collection and recharge. The project is located on the north side of Sills Road (County Route 101) and east of Bellport Avenue in Yaphank, Town of Brookhaven, New York.
