Project is Located:

Oneida County

Project Description:

The applicant proposes conversion of an existing, closed, elementary school into senior affordable housing units and an associated public use senior center. The project includes the addition of a second story to the existing building along with the construction of a new 2-story connected wing; rehabilitation to existing parking areas and the addition of new parking spots to the rear of the exiting structure; and reconstruction, including some relocation, of stormwater drainage systems. The project will result in a 1.06 acre disturbance to the 100' regulated adjacent area of NYS Freshwater Wetland SB-43 through the addition of 3,311 cubic yards of fill. There will be no disturbance to the wetland itself and storm drainage will be controlled though the installation of infiltration trenches and sediment basins.
