The applicant proposes to construct one 24" x 14" diameter production well rated at 1,388 gallons per minute, approximately 560 feet deep, at the Sills Road well field, Yaphank, Brookhaven Town, Suffolk County. WSA#12427.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Evaluation using a Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form or other information has concluded that the proposed activity will not impact registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct 135 feet of rock revetment to armour an eroding bluff to protect the parking lot. Portions of the bluff face will be planted with appropriate vegetation, and 1.0 to 1.5 ton stone will be utilized for the construction of the revetment. The project is located at the end of Old Dock Road, Kings Park, Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County.
