Project Description: The project involves the removal of six poles, ranging in height from 61 feet to 70 feet above the existing grade, and replacing the poles with poles ranging in height from 63.5 feet to 72.5 feet above the existing grade on the Ticonderoga-Republic 2 International Paper Tap Transmission Line. The existing poles are wood structures and they will be replaced with self-oxidizing steel poles. The project may involve temporary impacts to a stream and wetlands. This line serves International Paper, Inc.

Project Description: The action involves the establishment of a new commercial use excavation contracting business, including the construction of a new 6,000 square foot building with on-site wastewater treatment system and well water supply, use of an existing storage building, storage of construction equipment and materials and site improvements for off-site visual impacts and noise control. Both the new building and storage area are proposed more than 550 feet from Buttermilk Falls Road in the vicinity of the existing storage building. Year-round operation is proposed Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Town of Halfmoon Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Halfmoon Commercial Planned Development District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves the development of a 63.84 acre ± land parcel located on the north side of NYS Route 146, approximately 760 feet east of NYS Route 146 and the County Route 109 (Farm to Market Road) intersection, west of US Route 4/ NYS Route 32 (Hudson River Road) in the Town of Halfmoon, New York. The site is located at the previously-approved Pino Planned Development District (PDD), which was never developed and approvals expired. The applicant now proposes a PDD for a 500,000 square foot commercial/light industrial park. The site will be served by public water and public sanitary sewer. Stormwater will be managed on-site.

Saratoga County - The Town of Halfmoon Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Halfmoon Self-Storage Planned Development District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves the development of the Halfmoon Self-Storage Planned Development District (PDD) on 16.87 acres ± of land located between NYS Route 146 and County Route 109 (Farm to Market Road), west of the intersection of these two roads in the Town of Halfmoon, New York. The PDD proposes a total of 102,000 square foot of buildings, including self-storage space (48,000 square foot) in eight buildings on the eastern half of the property and warehouse/storage/flex space (54,000 square foot) in nine buildings on the western half of the site. Ingress/egress will be from two, connected full-service entrances on County Route 109 (Farm to Market Road), with no direct access to NYS Route 146. The project would be developed in phases as units are filled/occupied. The site will be served by public water and public sanitary sewer. Stormwater will be managed on-site.
