Negative Declaration

Greene County - The Town of Windham Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed WILDER Development will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves a site plan application, and a draft subdivision plat/site plan together with a Long Environmental Assessment Form (EAF) for a project identified as WILDER. Fromm Realty, LLC has submitted an application for the subdivision of a 15.25-acre parcel into 15 lots with a road right-of-way. Fourteen of the proposed parcels will be for single family homes and the fifteenth proposed parcel will be for a common area encompassing the existing pond. The project will be accessed by a private road and will be served by municipal sewer and water. Site plan and subdivision review and approval from the Town of Windham Planning Board as well as water and sewer extensions, realty subdivision and stormwater permits from other agencies are required for the project to proceed to construction.

The project is located on Fromm Road in the Town of Windham, New York.

Greene County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Halsted Shale Mine Permit Renewal and Modification will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves the modification of existing permit to include an additional 0.6 acres to the Life of Mine (LOM) acreage. This area was previously affected by mining-related activities and is being included within the LOM to ensure reclamation of the area.

The project is located on Vocational Road in the Town of Coxsackie, New York.

Rensselaer County - The Town of Poestenkill Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Barberville Nature Preserve will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves the transfer of the 138 acre Barberville Nature Preserve from the Nature Conservancy to the Town of Poestenkill for continued use as a nature preserve. The project is located at Plank Road and Blue Factory Road in the Town of Poestenkill, New York.
